✅APPLICATION FEE
An application fee of R100 is required. Log in to the self-service portal using your person/student number and your date of birth (YYMMDD).
• Payments must be made before the closing date.
• Use only your person/student number as the payment reference.
📚DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
🔵If you have not yet matriculated:
• Your final Grade 11 report must be signed and stamped by your school principal (a hard copy is not required).
•Identity document /Birth certificates(If<18)
• Applicants with international qualifications must upload certified copies of a recent school report as well as all previous results.
🔵If you have already matriculated (even if you are rewriting some subjects in 2026) and have not attended any university:
• Include the subjects you are rewriting. Please note that only one upgrade attempt will be considered.
• Attach certified copies of your matric certificate or foreign school-leaving certificate(s).
If you have attended a university or any tertiary institution other than Wits✅:
• Submit your school-leaving results and certified copies of all academic records, together with a certificate of good conduct, even if the qualification was not completed.
• Request the institution to send your full academic record and a certificate of good conduct directly to the Student Enrolment Centre (SEnC).
• Submit a copy of your published results for the current year, stamped by the institution’s Registrar and signed by the Faculty Officer.
• Statements of credits, credit certificates, or examination results will not be accepted.
⚠️ADMISSION
Admission to Wits requires strong academic results. Initial assessment is based on self-reported final Grade 11 results, with final decisions based on your official matric results.

Wits uses your six best subjects, including:
• English
• Mathematics
• Life Orientation
• Other approved subjects - Convert each subject percentage to an APS score

📚EXPLAINED
LIFE ORIENTATION IF YOU HAVE :
LEVEL 7 between 90-100% That point is 4
LEVE 7 between 80-89% that is 3points
LEVEL 6 That is 2 point
LEVEL 5 is 1point
LEVEL 4 and below that is 0 point
🧮 MATHEMATICS
LEVEL 7(90-100%) is 8+ 2=10meanin you have 10 points fo maths
LEVEL 7(80-89%) Is 7+2=9
LEVE 6 (70-79% ) is 6+2=8
LEVEL 5 (60-69%) is 5+2=7
LEVEL 4 (50-59%) is 4
LEVEL 4 (40-49%) is 3
Level below 40% is considered as 0.
ENGLISH HOME/FIRST ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE 🔴
LEVEL 7(80-89%) Is 7+2=9
LEVE 6 (70-79% ) is 6+2=8

Level below 40% is considered as 0.
FOR OTHER SUBJECTS IF YOU HAVE LEVEL 7(90-100) that is 7+1 which is equals to 8 points for the subject,therefore from Level 3(40% until 89% )which is Level 7 consider the level as it is no addition..A level below 3 is considered as 0 when calculating APS.
